The Jotunheimroad is one of Norway’s most beautiful mountain trails: 45 km gravel road above 1000m, the Rv 51 starts from Skåbu and ends at Bygdin. The road opens in the beginning of June for traffic and closes when the snow for the winter starts falling usually in October. You can camp were ever you want, fishing for trout in the vast lakes, hiking, or just wander true the mountains and fields.  You can also have a look at the last remaining falcons-catching trap in Europe.
